RLB in London invites applications for a Graduate Assistant Fire Engineer. You will join a dynamic fire engineering team, supporting delivery of high-quality fire strategies from concept to construction, with mentorship and a structured training program.

Qualifications

• Degree or pending in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Building Services or related STEM discipline.
• Graduate status with potential APC pathway and willingness to learn.
• Strong interest in fire safety engineering and design for buildings.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing fire safety strategies and reports for new and existing buildings in accordance with UK regulations and international codes.
• Conduct fire engineering calculations, including means of escape, smoke control, and structural fire protection.
• Support the use of computational tools such as CFD and evacuation modelling software.
• Contribute to fire risk assessments, audits, and site inspections.
• Collaborate with internal multidisciplinary teams and external clients, architects, and building control bodies.
• Keep up to date with changes in fire safety legislation and technical standards.
• Participate in internal knowledge-sharing sessions and graduate development programs.
