Job summary

Buro Happold in Bath is seeking a Graduate Fire Engineer to join our Fire Engineering team. You will develop fire safety strategies, perform engineering analysis, and apply performance-based designs on multidisciplinary projects across the UK.

Qualifications

• For our specialist Fire discipline, a Masters in Fire Engineering is preferred.
• Alternative: a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering with relevant knowledge.
• Experience with fire safety design concepts is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop fire safety strategies for multidisciplinary projects.
• Apply fire engineering analyses and performance-based design methods.
• Interpret UK regulations and guidance for global delivery.
• Carry out and review calculations including smoke modelling.
• Identify appropriate detection and suppression schemes.
• Communicate technical solutions to clients and stakeholders.
• Collaborate to keep the team informed of key decisions.
• Visit sites to observe fire strategy implementation.
