Job summary

Stantec is offering a 2027 Autumn Graduate Programme in Birmingham for a Graduate Fire Engineer. You’ll support fire engineering projects under experienced engineers, contributing to assessments, reports and design documentation within multidisciplinary teams.

As part of the Buildings discipline, you’ll develop core fire safety knowledge, pursue professional qualifications, and gain exposure to clients and project cycles while working four days a week in the office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with modules relating to Fire Safety and Fire Engineering.
• Knowledge of Pyrosim and FDS would be beneficial.
• Keen interest in working in the Buildings sector and fire safety engineering.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned tasks within the specified time frame.
• Draft technical reports of acceptable quality for technical and presentational purposes.
• Participate in client meetings and discuss guidance for simple design scenarios.
• Develop understanding of project cycles and how new work is awarded.
