Job summary

Amey is offering a Graduate Environmentalist position based at the Birmingham International Design Hub. You will join a UK-wide team to deliver environmental assessments and sustainability solutions for infrastructure projects, starting in September 2027.

You will develop practical skills across disciplines, work with clients and authorities, and contribute to decarbonisation and environmental strategies within the Midlands team.

Qualifications

• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Team player, self-motivated and fast learner.
• Willingness to learn and develop in engineering and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare environmental screening and scoping assessments.
• Consult with clients, local authorities and stakeholders.
• Assist in environmental site surveys for air quality, noise and vibration, ecology, arboriculture and water environment.
• Advise on environmental aspects of projects including Environmental Impact Assessments and ecological studies.
• Keep up to date with industry best practice to guide methods for projects.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, environmental and other regulations.
