Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is assisting a market-leading Engineering and Environmental Consultancy across the UK in recruiting a Graduate Flood Risk Consultant. The role is hybrid, requiring office presence three days a week as part of the supportive design team.

You will work on flood risk assessments, drainage strategies and flood mitigation schemes for residential, commercial, healthcare and education sectors, with opportunities for career progression and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or an environmental discipline with a focus on flood risk.
• Dissertation focused on flood risk assessments, drainage strategies or drainage design.
• Willingness to work from the office on a hybrid basis and reside locally.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Flood Risk Assessments for zones 1, 2 and 3.
• Create Flood Risk maps using ArcGIS.
• Develop Flood Mitigation Schemes and drainage strategies for planning applications.
• Design drainage, attenuation and sewerage schemes using Infodrainage and Causeway Flow.
• Prepare access road designs for developments and participate in client meetings.

My Client, a market leading Engineering and Environmental Consultancy based with offices across the UK, are searching for a Graduate Flood Risk Consultant to join their supportive team. You will be required to work from the office on a hybrid basis.

This exciting role will offer candidates the opportunity to join an experienced design team who specialise in flood risk, infrastructure, civil and structural engineering for public and private sector clients across the UK. With a wide portfolio of projects you will have the chance to design flood risk, drainage and foul drainage solutions for Residential, Commercial, Retail, Healthcare and Education Sectors.

As a Graduate Flood Risk Consultant you will be required to complete varied technical work including:

• Flood Risk Assessments for flood zone 1,2 and 3.
• Flood Risk Mapping using ArcGIS.
• Flood Mitigation Schemes.
• Drainage Strategies for Planning Applications.
• Drainage, attenuation and sewerage design using Infodrainage and causeway flow.
• Access road design for developments.
• Client meetings to discuss project progress.
