Job summary

AZTRUM is seeking a Senior Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to join our team in Bristol. You will work on flood risk, drainage and environmental projects for public and private sector clients, delivering assessments, mapping and SuDS design across multiple sectors.

The role requires a strong BSc/MSc in Civil Engineering or related field and experience with Infodrainage/Causeway/AutoCAD. Hybrid working and clear career progression toward chartered status are offered.

Qualifications

• Strong BSc and/or MSc in Civil Engineering, Environmental Management, Hydrology or Environmental Engineering.
• Experience with UK-based consultancy delivering flood risk assessments, drainage strategies, and design using Infodrainage, Causeway or AutoCAD.
• Ability to liaise with clients and work in a fast-paced environment from feasibility to completion.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Flood Risk Assessments for flood zone 1, 2 and 3.
• Perform Flood Risk Mapping using ArcGIS.
• Develop SuDS strategies and drainage designs.
• Design drainage, attenuation and SuDS solutions for various sectors.
• Lead or support team members and engage with clients on project progress.

My Client, a market leading multidisciplinary Consultancy with offices based across the UK, is searching for a Senior Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to join their team in Bristol.

This exciting role will offer candidates the opportunity to join an innovative team who specialise in flood risk, drainage and environmental engineering for both public and private sector clients. With a wide portfolio of projects you will have the chance to design flood risk and drainage solutions for Residential, Commercial, Retail, Healthcare, Renewables and Education Sectors for both public and private sector clients.

As a Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer you will be required to complete varied technical work including;

• Flood Risk Assessments for flood zone 1,2 and 3.
• Flood Risk Mapping using ArcGIS.
• SuDS Strategies.
• Drainage, attenuation and SuDS design using infodrainage and causeway flow.
• Design of sustainable drainage solutions for residential, commercial, healthcare, retail and educational projects.
• Client meetings to discuss project progress, on occasion.
• Support team members with designs.
