AZTRUM, a market-leading engineering and environmental consultancy, is seeking a Graduate Flood Risk Engineer in Nottingham. You will join a supportive design team working on flood risk, drainage and infrastructure projects for public and private sector clients across the UK.

You will design flood risk, flood defence, drainage and foul drainage solutions for residential, commercial, retail, healthcare and education sectors, with a hybrid office-based schedule and career progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in flood risk and drainage engineering.
• Relevant degree(s) in Civil/Environmental Engineering or Geography.
• Local to Nottingham and able to work from office 3 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Flood Risk Assessments for zones 1-3.
• Flood Risk Mapping using ArcGIS.
• Drainage strategies for planning applications.
• Drainage, attenuation and sewerage design.
• Access road design and earthworks modelling.
• Flood defence schemes involvement.
• Meet with clients to discuss progress.

My Client, a market leading Engineering and Environmental Consultancy who specialise in flood risk, drainage and infrastructure, are searching for a Graduate Flood Risk Engineer to join their supportive team in Nottingham.

You will be required to work from the office on a hybrid basis.

This exciting role will offer candidates the opportunity to join an experienced design team who specialise in infrastructure, civil and flood risk engineering for public and private sector clients across the UK.

With a wide portfolio of projects you will have the chance to design flood risk, flood defence, drainage and foul drainage solutions for Residential, Commercial, Retail, Healthcare and Education Sectors.

As a Graduate Flood Risk Engineer you will be required to complete varied technical work including;

• Flood Risk Assessments for flood zone 1,2 and 3.
• Flood Risk Mapping using ArcGIS.
• Drainage Strategies for Planning Applications.
• Drainage, attenuation and sewerage design using infodrainage and causeway flow.
• Access road design for developments.
• Earthworks modelling.
• Flood defence schemes.
• Client meetings to discuss project progress.

It is essential that applicants have a strong BSc/BEng and/or MSc/MEng in Civil or Environmental Engineering or Geography and a keen interest in flood risk and drainage engineering.

It is beneficial for applicants to have UK based experience specialising in flood risk and/or drainage or sewerage design.
