Job summary

Capita Winchester is seeking an Engineering Graduate for a full-time, term-time basis role at HMS Sultan, Portsmouth. The position requires SC level security clearance eligibility and involves mentoring Royal Navy engineers.

You will deliver lectures and lab sessions, administer exams, and update training materials while coordinating with Design staff to align content with DSAT standards.

Qualifications

• Foundation Degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering (or related discipline) required.
• Previous experience as an Engineer is desirable.
• Eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level.

Responsibilities

• Delivering classroom instruction to groups of up to 24 trainees in: Electronic engineering and electrical machine principles (NVQ Level 4/5) and Basic electronics & mathematics (Level 2/3).
• Conducting practical lab sessions, demonstrating key principles and supervising trainee experiments.
• Administering and invigilating both paper-based and online examinations.
• Marking and check-marking assessments to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Maintaining and updating training materials.
• Collaborating with Training Design staff to align content with DSAT standards and submit updates for approval.

• This role is offered on a term time basis working 45 weeks per year, with non-working weeks taken 2 weeks at Christmas and Easter and 3 weeks in August. The salary will therefore be pro rata'd and calculated to include contractual annual leave entitlement and bank holidays.
