Job summary

Trant Engineering Ltd is seeking a Graduate Electrical Site Engineer to support delivery of electrical engineering activities on municipal, industrial process and water projects across the UK. You’ll gain hands-on experience with site installation, commissioning and maintenance under the guidance of senior engineers.

Based in the South East and part of our Operations Management team, you’ll develop practical skills, work within multidisciplinary teams, and aim for ICE/Ground registration while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, HNC, or HND in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Basic knowledge of BS7671 (IET Wiring Regulations) and relevant health & safety regulations.
• Working toward or eligible for IEng/CEng registration.
• Internship, placement, or project work providing hands-on site or lab electrical experience.
• Assisting in LV system installations, wiring, or control panel commissioning.
• Experience adhering to safe working practices and following risk assessments on site.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams or assisting engineers on collaborative projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist with LV system installations, wiring, or control panel commissioning.
• Support the supervision of subcontractors and site electricians, ensuring adherence to drawings and specifications.
• Assist senior engineers with the commissioning and testing of electrical systems and equipment.
• Learn to perform functional tests and record results accurately.
• Support troubleshooting and minor fault-finding activities under guidance.
• Assist with preventative maintenance activities and understand operational requirements of installed systems.
• Gain practical experience in interpreting design documents and schematics.
