Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley in Exeter is seeking a graduate Electrical Engineer to join the Mechanical, Electrical and Process Team. You will support delivery of design and build projects, partly office-based and partly on site, and travel within the South West Water region.

You’ll work with project management, design and commercial colleagues, liaise with clients and suppliers, review drawings, and help maintain safety documentation and commissioning plans.

Qualifications

• Graduate with a degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field).
• Valid driving license.
• Ability to develop an understanding of civil engineering principles and practices influenced by M&E.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of design and build construction projects predominantly within the Water and Wastewater sectors.
• Spend time office-based with project management, design, and commercial colleagues while largely being on site supporting the site Project Team in coordinating multiple aspects of projects.
• Liaise with clients and supply chain and be involved in the direct management of projects through Mechanical & Electrical suppliers.
• Review constructability of drawings and designs of Suppliers.
• Oversee the activities of M&E Sub-Contractors & Suppliers on the Site.
• Assist with maintaining safety culture of critical designs, health & safety documentation, O&M manuals, and commissioning plans.
