Job summary

Stantec is launching its 2027 Graduate Programme in Newcastle for a Graduate Electrical Engineer within the Water team. You will contribute to electrical, instrumentation, control and automation delivery across water and wastewater projects, supporting storm overflows and related programmes while developing technical capabilities.

You will engage in modelling, data-led analysis and collaboration with engineering and design teams, with structured graduate development and opportunities to pursue

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) and keen interest in the water industry.
• Ability to adapt to changing tasks and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Support ongoing project work across storm overflows, DWMP, SOAF, WINEP and flooding-related programmes.
• Contribute to model build, analysis, solution development and scenario testing.
• Work with colleagues across engineering, modelling and design teams to coordinate technical inputs and support project delivery.
• Develop understanding of hydraulic modelling, GIS analysis and digital tools used within the water industry.
• Build technical capability through project work, collaboration, training and structured graduate development.
