Job summary
Arup in Newcastle is seeking a Graduate Infrastructure Electrical Engineer to design electrical systems for water, energy, and industrial infrastructure. You will work with multidisciplinary teams, develop practical solutions, and gain professional accreditation through hands‑on project experience.
You will extend your technical capability with CAD/BIM, participate in electrical calculations, equipment selection, and prepare technical reports while collaborating across disciplines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with strong academic performance (2.1 or above).
- Master’s or integrated Master’s in Electrical/Power Engineering is advantageous.
- Degree accredited by IET or equivalent.
- Good CAD/BIM understanding and design project experience.
- Experience with coding languages and digital design tools is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems for essential infrastructure projects.
- Produce specifications and designs and liaise with multidisciplinary teams.
- Support BIM/digital modelling and 3D design activities.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and prepare technical reports.
- Assist with site activities and learn towards professional accreditation.
