Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley is seeking a graduate electrical design engineer in Leeds to deliver energy storage and HV connection and supply projects within the energy sector. You will join a large multidisciplinary design team, and work with support from both design and site teams to make a positive impact on communities and clients.

Qualifications

• Graduated or due to graduate with a degree in Electrical Engineering (BEng) or a post graduate qualification (MSc).
• Excellent verbal communication skills, which allow you to confidently liaise with clients and team members.
• Excellent written communication and attention to detail, and be able to demonstrate accurate technical drawings and good report writing.
• Methodical approach to problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Prepare outline and detailed electrical engineering designs and calculations.
• Produce technical and commercial specifications, drawings and schedules.
• Work closely and collaboratively with the commercial and construction teams to develop efficient, practical and safe solutions throughout design stages, construction and beyond.
• Prepare documents, reports and health and safety risk assessments.
• Positively engage with the Client, managing relationships and adopting a One-Team approach to support them in achieving their aims.
