Job summary

Arup is offering a Graduate Electrical Engineer position in Manchester within our multi-disciplinary design teams. The role includes exposure to healthcare, science & industry projects and an IET-accredited training scheme to support professional status.

You will design power distribution, lighting, and building services, with strong emphasis on collaboration across disciplines. A strong academic background and UK work eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Architectural Engineering.
• Strong fundamentals in power distribution and lighting design.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word; knowledge of building services.
• Full right to work in the UK; no more than 12 months experience in a similar role.
• IET accredited training to support professional status.

Responsibilities

• Design power distribution, lighting, fire detection, earthing and lightning protection for buildings.
• Perform short-circuit, overcurrent coordination and maximum demand studies.
• Develop lighting photometric models and electrical calculations.
• Create technical reports and work in 3D using Revit MEP.
• Collaborate with Architects and other disciplines to develop designs.
