Job summary

AIXTRON Ltd in Swavesey is seeking a Graduate Electrical Controls Engineer to advance the design and testing of world-leading MOCVD systems. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team and contribute to safe, compliant electrical design while supporting ongoing improvement of our products.

Qualifications

• Engineering / Scientific degree or equivalent experience.
• Understanding of fieldbus systems (DeviceNet, Ethercat) and PLC control.
• Knowledge in the design of drive systems, pneumatic control, and automation technology.
• Experience in control of electro-pneumatic/mechanical systems, 3-phase power distribution and heater control systems.
• Understanding of relevant legislation, directives and standards for machinery design.
• Experience of E-Plan software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Detail-oriented, with a consistent and organised approach to work.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Configure system designs and controls to meet customer order requirements.
• Work closely with production to resolve issues identified during build and testing.
• Responsible for adhering to standards that AIXTRON Ltd set to ensure safety at work, including following procedures and training.
