Job summary

Laing O'Rourke's Explore Manufacturing arm is recruiting a Graduate Digital Manufacturing Engineer in Worksop, with occasional visits to Oldbury. This early-career role focuses on data, digital tools and continuous improvement within live manufacturing environments.

You'll work with specialists to deliver technology and data solutions, develop dashboards in Power BI, analyse operational data and support digital platforms, learning through mentoring and the Laing O'Rourke Data Academy.

What you'll be doing

Working alongside experienced digital specialists, you'll help deliver technology and data solutions that improve how our manufacturing facilities operate.

You will:

What we're looking for

We're less interested in finding someone who already knows everything and more interested in finding someone with curiosity, enthusiasm and a desire to learn.

You might have:

• A degree, apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in Data, Engineering, Manufacturing, Information Systems or a related discipline
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good Excel skills and confidence working with data
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• An interest in manufacturing, engineering, technology or digital transformation

It would be beneficial if you have some exposure to:

• Power BI or Power Query
• Microsoft Power Platform
• Databases or SQL
• Reporting, automation or data analysis
