Overview

Graduate Design Engineer – Temporary Works and Piling/Foundations – Manchester. Permanent position with salary £29,000 - £31,000.

Responsibilities
  • Join the Shoring and Below Ground propping design team and the above ground team in Manchester.
  • Develop designs for geotechnical and structural aspects, including pile design, SI interpretation, and deep excavation support.
  • Apply bespoke steelwork designs and connections as part of the role, combining Geotechnics with Structural Analysis and design.
  • Prepare and review design solutions for temporary works related to major projects, including propping for deep basements.
  • Engage in the company’s chartership training scheme to progress toward chartered status.
Qualifications
  • Degree or master’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
  • Interest in geotechnical engineering and related disciplines.
  • Some industry experience after university is preferred, but exceptional recent graduates will also be considered.
