You will be responsible for supporting our clients with on-site installation of new equipment, preventative maintenance, repairs, and customer training on our chromatography solutions (LC, LC/MS, GC, GC/MS, HPLC).

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Respond to customer needs by providing repair, installation, upgrades, and preventive maintenance activities
  • Contact customers in a timely manner and work closely with the scheduling teams to deliver service efficiently
  • Coordinate with manager, contact centre, sales, logistics, and scheduling to meet customer needs and expectations
  • Maintain Agilent’s customer service reputation by adhering to all corporate policies and procedures
  • Complete administrative tasks and service reports promptly and accurately
  • Provide feedback to Product Specialists regarding performance anomalies encountered
  • Address customer requests for service and communicate proactively before, during, and after service

For this role, you will work remotely combined with travel to customer sites (4-5 days per week, with occasional nights away), mainly in the Midlands (Leicester, Birmingham, Derby, Nottingham, Coventry), with occasional travel further in the UK (a company car is provided).

Qualifications

We are looking for an individual with the following background:

  • A recent university degree in a Chemistry related field (Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience is an advantage (internship/placement, university project, or first position), preferably in a lab with chromatography solutions (LC, LC/MS, GC, GC/MS, HPLC)
  • Full proficiency in English
  • A valid driving license

On a personal level, you are proactive, outgoing, and customer-oriented. You enjoy working both autonomously and as part of a team, solving various problems. You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with internal and external partners.
