Job summary

Milk Education is seeking confident, reliable and motivated Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Horsham and West Sussex. This role offers flexible days and hours with high-quality support from dedicated consultants.

As a Cover Supervisor you will deliver pre-planned lessons, manage behaviour, support student learning, take attendance and ensure safeguarding is followed. A degree is desirable but not essential, and previous youth work or tutoring experience is valued.

Qualifications

• A degree (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
• Confident communication and organisational skills.
• Experience working with children or young people.
• A positive, adaptable and professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
• Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment.
• Support students with their learning and answer general questions.
• Take attendance and ensure safeguarding procedures are followed.
• Gain experience across a variety of subjects and year groups.
