Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting a Cover Supervisor to work in secondary schools across Doncaster and South Yorkshire, offering both long-term and flexible opportunities. The role is temporary, with full-time or part-time options, and training is provided to support classroom readiness.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in educational, coaching, youth work, or similar setting.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Confidence leading groups of students independently.

Responsibilities

• Supervising whole classes in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring students remain engaged with pre-set work.
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with the school's behaviour policy.
• Creating a calm, positive, and productive learning environment.
• Providing guidance and encouragement to students where appropriate.
• Reporting on lesson outcomes and any behavioural or safeguarding concerns to teaching staff.
• Supporting the wider school community with professionalism and enthusiasm.
