Job summary

Kier Group plc. is offering a Graduate Construction Manager programme in Basingstoke. This 2-year permanent, full-time scheme starts September 2027, with 40 hours per week and a starting salary of £31,000 per annum plus car allowance on some contracts.

The programme leads to an assistant level role with potential earnings around £38k. You will support planning, coordination and supervision of projects, ensuring timely delivery and high quality, while gaining hands-on experience in construction

Qualifications

• A degree in Construction Management, Construction Project Management, Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrates genuine interest in pursuing a career in construction management and a desire to learn.
• Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and manage time effectively while maintaining high standards.
• Works well in a team, displaying collaboration, reliability and respect for others.
• Holds a full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the overall management and coordination of construction projects from start to finish.
• Supporting the Site Manager in overseeing day-to-day site operations and health & safety compliance.
• Monitoring project progress including schedules, costs and quality control measures.
• Collaborating with architects, engineers, contractors and stakeholders for effective communication and execution.
• Maintaining accurate site records such as progress reports, safety logs and material deliveries.
