Job summary

Kier Group, based in Northampton, is seeking a Graduate Construction Design Manager to join our construction team. The role focuses on coordinating and managing the design aspects of construction projects from inception to completion, offering hands-on experience and mentorship.

Starting salary is £31,000 per annum plus car allowance on some contracts, with a permanent, full-time 2-year pathway leading to an assistant level role and salary potential of CIRCA £38k. Start date is September 2027.

Qualifications

• Hold a degree in Architectural Technology, Construction Project Management or Civil Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Demonstrate motivation to learn and develop professionally in design management.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks with good time management.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure design specifications are met.
• Review and analyse project drawings, plans, and specifications for accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Support the development of design solutions aligning with project objectives, budget and timeline.
• Monitor design progress and adjust to meet project goals.
• Conduct site visits to understand project requirements and gather relevant data.
