Job summary

Kier Group in Cambridge is seeking a Graduate Construction Design Manager to coordinate and manage the design aspects of construction projects from inception to completion. This is a permanent, full-time 2-year programme starting in September 2027, with salary potential up to around £38k and a starting salary of £31,000 plus car allowance on some contracts.

Qualifications

Degree in Architectural Technology, Construction Project Management, Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
Strong motivation to learn and develop professionally.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining high standards.

Responsibilities

Assist in coordinating and managing the design process for construction projects.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors and clients to ensure design specifications are met.
Review project drawings, plans and specifications for accuracy and compliance with standards.
Support development of design solutions aligned with project objectives, budget and timeline.
Conduct site visits to understand project requirements and collect relevant data.
