Job summary

Kier Group in Cambridge is seeking a Graduate Construction Design Manager for a permanent, full-time role starting September 2027. The programme lasts two years and combines mentorship with hands-on experience in design management.

You'll coordinate design work from inception to completion, collaborate with architects, engineers and clients, review drawings, and contribute to safe, compliant solutions while developing your career toward an assistant level role.

Qualifications

• Candidate holds a relevant degree in Architectural Technology, Construction Project Management, Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Shows genuine interest in pursuing design management and construction industry.
• Demonstrates strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
• Holds a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the design process for construction projects from inception to completion.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors and clients to ensure design specifications are met.
• Review and analyse project drawings, plans and specifications for accuracy and compliance.
• Support development of design solutions aligned with project objectives, budget and timeline.
• Conduct site visits to understand requirements and gather data.
