Job summary

JP Engineering in Edinburgh is seeking a Graduate Civil / Structural Engineer to join a growing specialist consultancy. This role offers exposure to security design, blast and ballistic engineering, and other advanced structural work, with a clear path from concept to delivery.

You will work within multidisciplinary teams, develop your expertise across specialist analyses, and contribute to projects across an expanding national network.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree: BEng, MEng, MSc or PhD.
• Understanding of civil, structural or mechanical analysis methods.
• Knowledge of structural materials and engineering principles.
• Understanding of the construction industry.
• Strong problem-solving ability.
• Hardworking, curious and self-motivated approach.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively.
• UK national or able to demonstrate 5+ years' UK residency.

Responsibilities

• Structural and engineering calculations and analysis.
• Developing sketches and technical solutions.
• Supporting specialist security and engineering projects.
• Applying engineering principles to unusual and complex problems.
• Working with multidisciplinary design teams.
• Contributing to projects from concept through to delivery.
• Developing your knowledge of specialist analysis and engineering techniques.
