Job summary

Kent in the United Kingdom is recruiting a Graduate Civil/Structural Engineer for the Woking office. The role is part of a hybrid model with three in-office days weekly, contributing to onshore and offshore projects, and guiding energy transition initiatives.

You will join the graduate development programme, work towards Chartered Engineer status within 4–5 years, and receive mentorship from senior engineers in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering.
• Awareness of international and industry specifications, standards and codes.
• Knowledge of Safety and Quality Procedures and best practice.
• Attention to detail; ability to learn; strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Join Woking Office and work with Kent's global offices to develop innovative engineering solutions.
• Initially supervised, progressing to greater responsibility under a Civil/Structural Group Manager.
• Follow Kent’s Graduate Development Programme and ICE Approved Graduate Training Scheme toward Chartered Engineer status.
• Design foundations, concrete and steel structures, offshore structures, and industrial buildings; perform calculations and prepare deliverables.
• Use engineering software for calculations and analyses, and develop 2D/3D CAD outputs; prepare design documents.
• Conduct site visits and surveys as required.
