Job summary

Amey in Perth is inviting applications for a Graduate Civil Engineer on a two-year pathway with guaranteed permanency on completion. You will receive mentoring, structured training, and support towards a relevant professional qualification while contributing to highway projects across the UK.

You will plan investigations, prepare technical documents, and provide pavement-related design advice, working 40 hours per week from Caledonian House, West Kinfauns, with a July 2027 start date.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2:2 degree in Civil Engineering.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Plan and undertake specialist investigations.
• Assist with preparing technical documents and reports.
• Maintain high technical standards consistent with the project scope/brief.
• Provide design and specialist advice in relevant specialisms, e.g. pavements.
• Use AMPS for scheme identification, development or recording of maintenance interventions.
• Assist the project manager with project related correspondence from internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist the project manager with Technical Workshops to discuss complex schemes and treatment proposals.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Legislation (CDM2015).
• Ensure compliance with the operating company's management system.
