Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to begin a career in consultancy, developing skills across highways, drainage and infrastructure projects supporting residential, commercial and industrial developments.

You will work with experienced engineers on development infrastructure design, from initial planning through to detailed design and delivery, gaining practical experience and professional growth in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering completed or due.
• Interest in highways and drainage infrastructure.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn within a consultancy environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with highway and drainage design for development projects.
• Support preparation of drawings, calculations, specs and reports.
• Learn highway improvements and Section 38/278 works.
• Assist with drainage strategies and SuDS planning.
• Collaborate with engineers, clients and architects to deliver projects.
• Develop technical knowledge and understanding of standards.
