Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Assistant Civil Engineer in Newmarket to join a specialist civil engineering and transport planning consultancy working on residential, commercial and infrastructure developments.

You will assist with design and development of highways, drainage and infrastructure from planning through delivery, collaborating with senior engineers and clients to ensure high-quality outcomes and progress in your career.

Qualifications

• HND, BEng, MEng or MSc in Civil Engineering.
• At least one year of relevant experience in a civil engineering consultancy.
• Understanding of drainage, highways, and infrastructure design.
• Familiarity with SuDS guidance and highway design standards.
• Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design and development of highways, drainage and infrastructure schemes from planning through delivery.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on technical designs and project coordination.
• Engage with clients, developers and local authorities as needed.
