Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd in Oxfordshire is seeking a Civil Engineer with 3+ years’ consultancy experience to join its infrastructure and drainage team. You will design and deliver infrastructure and drainage schemes for a varied portfolio of residential and commercial developments.

The role involves producing drawings and specifications, developing highway layouts, and coordinating with clients and specialists, with opportunities to progress within a supportive consultancy.

Qualifications

• A degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• At least 3 years’ consultancy experience.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure and drainage design.
• Experience with residential and commercial development projects.
• Experience with surface water and foul drainage principles.

Responsibilities

• Design infrastructure and drainage solutions for development projects.
• Produce surface water and foul drainage designs.
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications and design information.
• Develop highway and infrastructure layouts.
• Undertake drainage calculations and support technical assessments.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and other consultants.
• Work as part of multidisciplinary project teams.
• Support junior engineers and graduates where appropriate.
• Taking projects from initial concept through to detailed design.
