Job summary

Stantec invites applications for its 2027 Autumn Graduate Programme in Manchester for a Graduate Civil Engineer. You will work within a market-leading Community Development discipline, supporting major infrastructure and highways projects across the country and in the northwest region.

You will gain exposure to feasibility through to detailed design and construction, developing skills in highway alignment, drainage design, and project delivery while pursuing IEng or CEng status with ICE.

• Assist with development of concept, preliminary and detailed scheme designs.
• Prepare design reports, specifications and technical notes.
• Complete engineering design work and calculations, incl. 3D models.
• Research latest technologies and construction techniques to minimise environmental impact.
• Assist in managing Health and Safety risks.
• Prepare cost estimates and support value engineering within constraints.
• Collaborate with stakeholders from other organisations and disciplines.
• Support project management processes to monitor programme, cost and risk.
