Job summary

Stantec in Glasgow is recruiting a Graduate Civil Engineer as part of our Autumn 2027 Graduate Programme. You’ll join a collaborative Civil Engineering team delivering infrastructure and highways projects across Scotland, with access to multidisciplinary expertise.

You’ll work through feasibility, concept and detailed design, learning highway alignment, drainage and project delivery while gaining early exposure to delivery processes and professional accreditation paths such as IEng/CEng.

Responsibilities

• Develop concept, preliminary and detailed scheme designs.
• Prepare design reports, specifications and notes.
• Perform engineering design work and calculations, incl. 3D models.
• Research new technologies and minimize environmental impact.
• Assist in managing Health & Safety risks and mitigation.
• Prepare cost estimates and assist clients to value engineer solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders from different organisations.
• Support project management to monitor programme, cost and risk.
