Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd in Birmingham is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to join its team. You will work alongside experienced engineers on development infrastructure projects from early concept through to detailed design and construction.

You will gain practical experience across roads, drainage and wider infrastructure, working on sectors including residential, logistics and manufacturing. A Civil Engineering degree is required or close to completion; prior consultancy experience is not

Looking for a graduate role where you can work on real Civil Engineering projects from the start rather than spending your first year on the sidelines?

An established and growing engineering consultancy is looking for a Graduate Civil Engineer to join its Birmingham team. You will work alongside experienced engineers on development infrastructure projects from early concept and planning through to detailed design and construction.

The Role

You will develop practical experience across roads, drainage and wider infrastructure design, working on projects in sectors including residential, logistics and manufacturing.

Your work will include:

• Supporting drainage and highway design
• Assisting with development infrastructure projects
• Producing technical drawings and design information
• Supporting projects through planning and detailed design
• Working alongside experienced Civil Engineers on live schemes
• Developing your technical knowledge and engineering software skills

About You

You will have, or be completing, a degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline and be looking to build your career within Development Infrastructure.

Previous consultancy experience is not required. More important is a genuine interest in Civil Engineering, a willingness to learn and the ability to work effectively as part of a technical team.
