Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior/Principal Civil Engineer in Birmingham to lead infrastructure and drainage projects from concept to completion. You will mentor junior engineers and coordinate with architects and multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality designs.

The role requires Chartered status or working towards, solid UK consultancy experience, and proficiency in Civil 3D, MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering
• Chartered (CEng) or IEng status, or working towards accreditation
• Significant UK consultancy experience in infrastructure and drainage design
• Strong knowledge of highways, drainage and development infrastructure
• Experience using Civil 3D, MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage and AutoCAD
• Excellent understanding of UK design standards, SuDS and approval processes
• Strong communication and client-facing skills
• Ability to lead projects and mentor others

Senior / Principal Civil Engineer Location: Birmingham

As Senior Civil Engineer in Birmingham, you will lead infrastructure and drainage projects from concept to completion within a thriving consultancy. Your remit covers delivering technical designs for diverse developments, coordinating with architects and multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring outputs meet rigorous standards. You will mentor junior colleagues and contribute to the team’s strategic growth.

This full-time position offers a salary between £45,000 and £60,000 per annum. The role demands proficiency in drainage design software, a robust grasp of UK regulations, and excellent communication skills for client liaison. You will manage project programmes, budgets, and technical reports, ensuring efficient delivery across all schemes.
