Job summary

Arup in Glasgow invites applications for a Graduate Controls Engineer within the Building Performance & Systems team. You will help design Building Management Systems (BMS) that control mechanical, electrical and water systems to maximise energy efficiency across diverse building types.

You will work with MEP engineers, site teams and clients to deliver robust control strategies. You should hold a bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and demonstrate

Qualifications

• Undergraduate / Bachelor's level in Mechatronics / Robotics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with mechanical, electrical and public health engineers on building design projects to design the controls principles for those systems
• Producing the controls/BMS specifications (Word and Excel output) and drawings as part of our controls output deliverables
• Working with contractors to review their design development for installation on site
• Attending site, checking the installation of the BMS and testing out the functionality
