Job summary

Arup is seeking a Graduate Mechanical Building Services Engineer in Southampton. You will join multi-disciplinary design teams to drive low-energy, low-carbon building services across diverse projects worldwide.

The role offers opportunities to develop in a supportive environment with exposure to Revit, IESVE, and other design tools, and to contribute to decarbonisation strategies and site-based work. A strong academic record and eligibility to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• Masters or strong Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Architectural, or Building Services Engineering.
• Accredited course such as IMechE, CIBSE, or Engineering Council encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Support development of mechanical design concepts for low energy and low carbon design.
• Complete design of HVAC systems.
• Use software and digital tools to analyse and optimise solutions.
• Use Revit to develop system designs.
• Conduct thermal and Building Regulation modelling with IESVE or similar.
• Prepare mark-ups and work with design team members to progress holistic design.
• Input decarbonisation strategies for operating and embodied carbon.
• Conduct site visits and prepare reports.
