The successful graduate will be patient, adaptable and proactive, with strong communication skills and a full UK driving licence for travel to outings and sessions.

Qualifications

• Graduate from any discipline; Psychology, Sociology, Criminology, Education or similar subjects would be advantageous.
• Resilient and patient individual who can remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Adaptable and able to respond confidently to different behaviours and situations.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proactive, reliable and compassionate approach to supporting young people.
• A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored one-to-one mentoring to children and young people facing barriers to education.
• Build positive relationships and encourage trust, confidence and engagement.
• Support pupils with behavioural, emotional and social challenges.
• Encourage positive behaviour, emotional regulation and life skill development.
• Work alongside school staff and other professionals to support each pupil's progress.
• Adapt approach to changing needs and respond calmly to challenging situations.
• Encourage pupils to re-engage with learning and work towards positive educational outcomes.
