Job summary

Blackwood Medical Practice is seeking a part-time receptionist for 20 hours per week over 5 days. The role is fixed-term for 6 months with potential extension. You will handle patient interactions, appointments, prescriptions, and administration using Vision and Docman, with NHS pension and sick pay benefits.

Experience in GP or NHS settings is preferred; full training is provided. A flexible, team-oriented approach is essential in a busy reception area.

Qualifications

• Experience in a GP practice or NHS community setting preferred but not essential.
• Full training provided; good IT skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Handle patient enquiries face-to-face and over the phone.
• Book appointments and manage results.
• Process repeat prescriptions and liaise with other health care providers.
• Scan clinical correspondence and perform general administration.
