Job summary

NHS Ayrshire & Arran is seeking a proactive Rota Co-ordinator to plan and manage the GP out of hours rota for the Lothian out of hours service. The role is an in-hours post between 8am-4pm, focusing on staffing adequacy and timely communications with clinicians and managers.

You will build rotas, monitor clinical cover, attend twice-weekly rota meetings, and generate analyses to support service planning and governance requirements within the UK NHS framework.

Qualifications

• Planning and management of the GP out of hours rota.
• Liaise with clinicians and managers to ensure staffing.
• Use Rotamaster rota system and related data systems.
• Attend rota meetings twice weekly and assist in review.
• Provide data analyses for weekly meetings and FOI requests.

Responsibilities

• Build and adjust rotas to ensure full staffing.
• Ensure appropriate clinician cover and no gaps.
• Attend rota meetings twice weekly.
• Provide timely data for weekly leadership meetings.
• Assist with GP contracts and data reporting to NHS Scotland.
