Job summary

NHS England in the West Midlands is seeking part-time Training Programme Directors (TPDs) or experienced GP educators to support GP registrars across the region. The role involves facilitating iTAP sessions, providing constructive feedback, and ensuring high‑quality, supported training across practices and education providers.

Qualifications

• Evidence of knowledge of consultation skills and supporting GPs with communication challenges must be shown in the application.
• Experience as Training Programme Director or education lead in GP training is highly desirable.
• Flexibility to travel across the West Midlands and to attend iTAP sessions is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support educational development across the GP School, including iTAP, induction for GP Registrars, and health inequalities training.
• Organise and deliver face-to-face and virtual educational programmes.
• Provide timely educational and pastoral support to learners and educators; ensure ARCP processes are in place.
• Collaborate with senior educators and partner organisations across the West Midlands.
• Assist with evaluation and feedback processes for GP registrar training.
