Job summary

NHS England invites applications for an Associate Dean (GP04) to lead Educational Development and Leadership in the GP School within the West Midlands. The role is for 2 GP04 sessions, suitable for experienced TPD or AD with a strong record in GP education and leadership.

The post requires strategic thinking, collaboration with regional teams and a flexible, travel-involved pattern across the West Midlands to develop the Educational Workforce and support Doctors in GP Training to reach MRCGP.

Qualifications

• Primary clinical qualification required.
• Membership/fellowship of a College, Faculty or professional body.
• Commitment to educational development and leadership.
• Experience in GP education and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead on educational development across GP School and Structured Learning Programme.
• Support TPDs, Doctors in GP Training and GP registrars.
• Coordinate research and development for GP training innovations.
• Provide educational and pastoral support to learners and educators.
• Collaborate with Training Hubs, trusts and partners across the region.
