Job summary

NHS England is seeking experienced GP educators to join the West Midlands GP School as Training Programme Directors or senior educators. You will support GP registrars, oversee educational rotations, and facilitate iTAP sessions with feedback loops among doctors, trainers, and role-players.

Successful applicants should demonstrate leadership, consultation skills, and a commitment to high-quality communication. Roles involve travel across the West Midlands and monthly session remuneration.

Qualifications

• Registered medical or dental practitioner with current license to practise.
• Membership or Fellowship of a relevant College/Faculty.
• Active NHS clinical practice or within 2 years of ceasing clinical work.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate induction for GP Registrars and provide enhanced support for international doctors.
• Work with GP practices and education providers to ensure balanced, high-quality rotations.
• Organise and deliver educational programmes (virtual and face-to-face).
• Support learners and educators by ensuring good communication and resolving issues promptly.
• Ensure appropriate assessment processes including ARCP.
• Collaborate with senior educators and partner organisations across the West Midlands.
