Job description

Location: Flexible across West Midlands Region, B2 4HQ

Facilitate induction for GP Registrars and provide enhanced support for international doctors and those new to the NHS. Work with GP practices and education providers to ensure balanced, supportive, high-quality rotations. Organise and deliver the educational programme (virtual and face-to-face). Support learners and educators by ensuring good communication and resolving issues promptly. Ensure appropriate assessment processes including ARCP. Collaborate with senior educators and partner organisations across the West Midlands. Alongside core TPD duties, these roles will support key regional development priorities, including:

• West Midland iTAP (In Training Assessment of Performance) facilitation and feedback sessions
• Any additional consultation skills facilitation or assessment as part of the GP School Strategy for supporting GP Registrar Remuneration will be for one session per month across the full year, inclusive of leave.

Given fluctuating demands, successful applicants will also be expected, where possible, to contribute to wider GP School and GP Academy of Learning initiatives, including:

• Early consultation support iTAP for new starters (typically TuesdayThursday)
• Supporting doctors with neurodiversity, promoting inclusive and adaptive learning environments
• Contributing to Trainers Courses and broader GP educator developmen

Core responsibilities for TPDs include enhancing the training experience for GP Registrars through:

• Preparation and delivery of educational sessions
• Educational facilitation and curriculum support
• Pastoral and individual learner support
