Responsibilities

• Deliver highly effective medical care to the entitled population.
• Provide services commensurate with the GMS contract.
• Prescribe generically in line with local and national guidance.
• Effectively manage long-term conditions.
• Process administration promptly, including referrals and repeat prescription requests.
• On a rotational basis, undertake telephone triage and duty doctor duties.
• Maintain accurate clinical records per best practice and policy.
• Work collaboratively, sharing practice workload equally.
• Adhere to best practices from clinical guidelines and audits.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and quality initiatives in the practice.
• Accept delegated responsibility for a specific area or QOF.
• Attend and contribute to practice meetings as required.
• Contribute to development and maintenance of clinical governance, training, finance and HR.
• Ensure compliance with the appraisal process.
• Prepare and complete the revalidation process.
• Commit to self-learning and CPD across the practice team.
• Support training of medical students from all clinical disciplines.
• Support partners in achieving strategic aims, suggesting ways to boost income and cut costs.
• Review and adhere to practice protocols and policies at all times.
• Encourage collaboration, liaise with staff regularly, and promote continuous improvement.
