Job summary

Lloyds Banking Group is hiring a Google Cloud Engineer in Manchester. You will design, build and operate scalable cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform, creating reusable Terraform modules and automated deployment patterns.

You will work across engineering, security and product teams to elevate platform standards and developer productivity. The role emphasizes automation, self-service tooling, and CI/CD to accelerate delivery while maintaining strong security controls and governance.

Qualifications

• Strong experience designing, deploying and managing secure, scalable solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience building and maintaining Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Software engineering and automation experience with Python, Go or Bash for tooling and CI/CD.
• Experience implementing cloud security controls and governance practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate secure, scalable cloud infrastructure and platform services on Google Cloud Platform.
• Develop reusable infrastructure patterns and Terraform modules for automated deployments.
• Improve engineering productivity with automation, self-service tooling and CI/CD pipelines.
• Translate security requirements into automated controls and guardrails for safe cloud adoption.
• Take ownership of platform features from design to delivery and support operational excellence.
