Job summary

Lloyds Banking Group is actively hiring a Google Cloud Engineer in Manchester. The role focuses on designing and operating secure, scalable Google Cloud Platform infrastructure, building reusable Terraform patterns and driving automation to improve developer productivity across the Cloud Platform team.

You will shape standards, collaborate with security, architecture and product teams, and participate in an out-of-hours rota to support cloud services while advancing platform automation.

Qualifications

• Design, deploy and operate secure cloud infra on Google Cloud Platform.
• Build reusable IaC with Terraform and modular patterns.
• Develop tooling to improve developer productivity and CI/CD.
• Translate security requirements into automated controls.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate secure, scalable cloud infra on Google Cloud Platform.
• Develop reusable Terraform modules for consistent deployments.
• Improve engineering productivity via automation and self‑service tooling.
• Translate security requirements into automated guardrails and controls.
• Create docs, templates and workflows to enhance developer experiences.
• Take ownership of platform features from design to delivery.
