ABP Food Group is hiring a Forklift Driver at its Glasgow Penston site to support inbound stock receipt, production supply and external stock delivery. You will move pallet-packed materials around the site, loading and unloading vehicles while maintaining quality and safety standards.

The role requires current high-reach, counterbalance and PPT FLT qualifications, good English communication, and a team-oriented, flexible approach to meet targets and OTIF goals.

Responsabilités

• Maximise efficiency and service levels.
• Ensure provision of all specific cold store requirements.
• Efficiently load and unload internal and external vehicles within time frame.
• Moving stock and ensuring accurate stock accountability and OTIF deliveries.
• Minimise vehicle delay and downtime.
• Check incoming product quality and integrity; accept only compliant goods.
• Adhere to health & safety, GMP, and hygiene rules.
• Support trainee development and future-fit employee skills.

Job Role

The Forklift Driver will ensure that targets are met and regularly challenged and improved on. Delivering high standards of quality, ensuring product produced is to customer specification in line with critical control points, GMP and H&S requirements. Paying special regard to

To provide inbound stock receipt and production supply and external stock delivery requirements through strong performance and excellent customer service. Moving pallet-packed materials around the site or storage.

Main Responsibilities

• Maximise efficiency and service levels
• Ensure provision of all specific cold store requirements
• Efficiently load and unload internal and external vehicles within time frame
• Moving stock
• Deliver full stock accountability and OTIF customer service to budget
• Minimise vehicle delay and downtime
• Check all incoming product, verify product quality and integrity only accepting goods that meet company and customer standards
• Strictly adhere to all company and legislative requirements particularly encouraging safe and hygienic practices
• Collaborate with and support team members to achieve
• Support the development of future-fit employee skillset
• Demonstrate flexibility
• Support trainee development to ensure the ‘next generation’ workforce

Skills Required

• Results driven
• Experienced in/ Willing and able to learn and deliver in food distribution cold store
• Flexible, adaptable and keen to support others’ development
• Speaking, writing and understanding spoken and written English language. (This is an essential health & safety, traceability, management and quality control requirement which will be tested as part of the recruitment process)
