ABP Food Group is seeking a Production Supervisor for our Penston site in Glasgow. You will support the Production Manager, oversee all production lines, drive line performance and manage daily operations to ensure optimal yield and flow from butchery and debag.

This role requires strong leadership and hands-on problem solving on the shop floor. You'll work closely with line leaders to resolve issues in real time, manage resourcing, and uphold GMP, hygiene and allergen controls.

Qualificações

• Speaking, writing and understanding good English is essential for health & safety, traceability and team management.
• Good numeracy skills are required for yield, downtime and planning.
• Strong leadership and ability to motivate and develop the team.

Responsabilidades

• Support daily production plans and targets on retail lines.
• Track yield, giveaways and downtime performance.
• Coordinate with Butchery, Mince and Debag to maintain continuous flow.
• Manage shift handovers and line resourcing in line with plan.
• Ensure GMP, hygiene, traceability and allergen controls are maintained.
• Work with line leaders to resolve issues in real time.
• Step into leadership role during absence of Production Manager, including briefings and reviews.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and training across the area.

Role Definition:

Supports the Production Manager in overseeing all production lines within the production hall. Acts as second-in-command, focusing on line performance, yield, labour deployment, and supporting efficient material flow from butchery and debag. Plays a key role in delivering OEE targets and managing daily operational challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the execution of daily production plans and targets on the retail lines.
• Track and report on yield, giveaway, and downtime performance.
• Coordinate with Butchery, Mince and Debag areas to ensure continuous product flow and prevent line stoppages.
• Manage shift handovers and line resourcing in line with plan requirements.
• Ensure GMP, hygiene, traceability, and allergen controls are maintained.
• Work closely with line leaders and operatives to resolve issues in real time.
• Step into leadership role when the Production Manager is off, including team briefings and performance reviews.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and team training across the area

Personal Specification

• Speaking, writing and understanding good spoken and written English language. (This is an essential health & safety, traceability, team management and quality control requirement which will be tested as part of the recruitment process)
