Job summary

Recruitment PRO is seeking an experienced Goods In Administrator to join a busy warehouse and manufacturing environment in Scunthorpe. The role involves accurate receipt, recording and processing of incoming materials, plus general administrative and customer service support.

The ideal candidate will be highly organised with strong attention to detail and enjoy a varied daily workload within a busy team. 8:30am–4:30pm, Monday to Friday, with a competitive salary dependent on experience.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally within goods in, manufacturing or warehousing.
  • Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Confident verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming telephone calls, directing enquiries to the appropriate departments or individuals.
  • Welcome visitors and assist with their movements whilst onsite.
  • Process stock amendments as required, including printing and checking stock adjustment reports.
  • Raise and process invoices, purchase orders and goods receipting notes.
  • Manage incoming emails, responding appropriately or forwarding to the relevant departments.
  • Ensure the accurate and efficient receipt of incoming materials in line with Goods Inwards schedules and procedures.
  • Check test certifications and material documentation, ensuring all material standards and requirements are maintained.
  • Carry out regular stock checks, identifying and correcting any discrepancies.
  • Monitor incoming stock rotations, ensuring materials are presented with the correct colour coding and cast numbers.
  • Ensure cut confirmation records are accurate and communicated to the relevant teams.
  • Liaise with operational colleagues regarding daily work plans and priorities.
  • Provide scanning, filing and general warehouse administrative support.
  • Communicate professionally with internal and external customers via telephone and email.
  • Support excellent customer service standards and contribute towards a continuous improvement culture.

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Goods In Administrator to join a friendly and supportive team within a busy warehouse and manufacturing environment.

This is a varied administrative position, providing essential support across the Goods In and wider operations functions. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring incoming materials are accurately received, recorded and processed, whilst also providing general administrative and customer service support.

The role would suit someone who is highly organised, has excellent attention to detail and enjoys working in a busy environment where no two days are the same.

Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally within goods in, manufacturing, warehousing, logistics or a similar environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Confident verbal and written communication skills.
  • A professional and friendly telephone manner.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems.
