Job summary

The Golf Travel People Ltd is seeking a Golf Travel Consultant to take new enquiries through to confirmed holidays for individuals, groups and societies. Office-based role in Honley, West Yorkshire with part-time or full-time hours and core hours 9:00am–5:15pm, Monday to Friday.

You will be the first voice customers hear, building accurate quotes and coordinating with suppliers to secure bookings, while delivering outstanding service and maintaining customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Proven customer-facing experience in travel, hospitality or golf.
• Excellent telephone and written communication, with a warm, professional manner.
• Strong numeracy and attention to detail; quotes and itineraries must be right first time.
• Ability to manage a busy pipeline and prioritise follow-ups.
• Regular golfer with some outside-UK experience.
• Strong IT skills including email and booking systems.
• Team player who can also work independently.
• Willing and able to travel in the UK and Europe, including weekends, with a full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Look after each customer from first enquiry to confirmed booking.
• Deliver excellent customer service and ensure a smooth booking experience.
• Respond to enquiries by phone, email and online.
• Build quotes and tailored golf holiday itineraries (golf, accommodation, transfers).
• Coordinate with suppliers, hotels and golf courses on availability and rates.
• Follow up on quotes, confirm bookings and take deposits/balances.
• Manage golf groups and societies, including repeat clients.
• Occasionally represent the company at golf shows and events.
• Travel occasionally on supplier inspection and familiarisation trips, including some weekends.
